    Containers

 In traditional Africa, containers were fashioned from a large variety of materials, such as straw, leather or wood, and in a variety of shapes, decorated or plain, determined by local tradition, the materials available, and the function of the objects.		  
         
         
    Household Objects

 Household and agricultural objects and tools were a blend of functionality and tradition. While often striking in their simplicity, carvings and other types of decorations were often incorporated into the pieces, bearing distinctive stylistic traits.
